About Us
What We Do
Meals on Wheels has only one program - the delivery of a hot, nutritious meal at noon, 5 days a week, to homebound people who are unable to provide such a meal for themselves.

Who Can We Serve?
Anyone who is homebound, generally senior citizens, in the area bounded by Forbes Road on the west, Polk County line on the east, Highway 60 on the south and Knights-Griffin Road on the north.
What Do We Serve?
A meal consisting of a meat, two vegetables, bread, dessert and a drink prepared by Winn Dixie and delivered to homes by volunteers. For diabetics, fruit is substituted for dessert.
Who We Are
Meals on Wheels of Plant City, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit, nondenominational corporation. We are a totally volunteer organization, with no paid staff. We served our first meals in January 1990 and now have 7 routes with more than 80 volunteers.
How We Operate
We ask everyone who is served to contribute to the cost of the meal. Some can afford the full cost, some less and some little or nothing. We also receive contributions from individuals and businesses in the community.
How to Start Service
To start meal service, call our office at (813) 754-9932. A volunteer will visit to determine eligibility. If the person is being discharged from a healthcare facility, service can start the next delivery day with the interview being completed later.
